The hyaluronic acid is a protein (and not an acid as its name might suggest), which naturally exists in our body.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to its excellent hydrophilic properties, it can be well combined with water and will in turn fill out the intercellular spaces, thus giving it a major hydrating advantage (a hyaluronic acid molecule can attract up to 1,000 water molecules).<\/span><\/p>\n

Its life cycle in our skin is approximately 36hours. It is then naturally turned over (degraded and synthesized) by a molecule called hyaluronidase.<\/span><\/p>\n

When aging, the hyaluronic acid\u2019s quantity which is contained in our skin decreases and its nature will be modified, thus altering its hydration and elasticity capacity for our skin.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Since the beginning of the 21<\/span>st<\/sup><\/span> century, the hyaluronic acid is used in aesthetic medicine as a filler product. <\/span><\/p>\n

A hyaluronic acid injection will enable correcting in an easy and fast manner certain aging signs and restore youthful volumes to embellish the face. <\/span><\/p>\n

In filler injections, the hyaluronic acid molecules are crosslinked. This offers the hyaluronic acid a longer life in our organism, enabling the treatment to last between 6 to 24 months depending on the product used and the treated zone. <\/span><\/p>\n

The product comes in the form of a more or less thick gel, which corresponds to its crosslinked characteristic. <\/span><\/p>\n

The more the product is crosslinked, the more volume effect it will have. A less crosslinked product will provide less volume but will be very hydrating.<\/span><\/p>\n
