Those cells are responsible for the appearance of brown spots on the directly exposed parts of our body and particularly on the face, the neckline and the upper side of the hands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1162\" src=\"https:\/\/www.docteurpeltzaim.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/image14.jpeg\" alt=\"image14\" width=\"180\" height=\"197\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Those marks are called lentigo or less often could also be named \u201caging marks\u201d. Those are often associated to an aging sign and are rather badly taken by patients as they are often perceived as inconcinnous from their point of view which is why they want to get rid of them. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Various treatments can be offered to get rid of these melanoma marks: <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">-Peeling (link)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">-Q-switched laser (link)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">-Flash lamp <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">-The Alexandrite laser<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The flash lamp treatment:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Flash lamp corresponds to a lamp with a wavelength ranging from 550 to 900 nm. The lamp\u2019s power can be adjusted. Filters can be applied on the lamp to better target the treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Flash lamps have 3 main indications:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Melanoma marks treatment<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Skin treatment through a cutaneous remodeling and an epidermis toning<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Hair removal<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The way the session takes place is the same no matter the treatment\u2019s indication. The doctor and the patient\u2019s eyes are protected with suitable protective eyewear (which will depend on the light\u2019s wavelength)<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">An aqueous gel is applied on the zone to be treated. The hand piece is then applied on the skin and moved along the zone to be treated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Along the melanoma marks\u2019 treatment, right after the session, scabs appear and will replace the treated marks. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In order to avoid any scare risk, the scabs should not be teared off in any case, they should fall by themselves, naturally. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Under the scabs, the skin might be rosy and remain this way for a short while.
